For our students at the Ba Dinh Blind Association, their English class happened to be on International Women’s Day. Naturally, they had to do something a little different to celebrate! Huong has written for us what they got up too.
“At our Ba Dinh Blind Association English class we are so lucky to have two kind and enthusiastic native English speakers, Steve and Arlene. With all of their experience they teach us English and introduce us to many interesting and useful skills!”
“On March 8th for International Women’s Day, our lesson was a bit different than usual. Steve and Arlene cooked a chicken curry at home and brought it to class for everyone to enjoy. Served with bread it was very delicious!
Then they taught everyone how to make pancakes. All the ingredients were prepared by the teachers then they slowly showed the students the recipe on how to make the batter. We had some fruit and jam to put on top. It was very yummy!
Are you good at cooking? Can you make pancakes? Pancakes are delicious, aren’t they? In Western countries, pancakes are a very popular and easy to make dessert.
Thank you Steve and Arlene a lot for sharing with us how to make this new dish!”
